The Chalk Walk is a new event for Woodburn Summerfest 2018!! There are two divisions for this competition: ages 12 and under and ages 13 and above. Teams of up to four people in the same age division may register to create a chalk mural in either a 4\u2019x4\u2019 or 8\u2019x8\u2019 space designated on the basketball court. Entry details and fees are located on the registration form. Cash prizes will be given in each category based on creativity, originality, and appropriate incorporation of this year\u2019s theme, \u201cWet and Wild.\u201d<\/p>\n
Each registered team will receive a kit of 12 to 24 sidewalk chalks based on design size but may supplement with additional chalks. No other drawing or painting media can be used. Based upon their registration, teams will be randomly assigned an area in which to recreate their submitted design. Artists may begin work at 6:00 p.m. on Friday night and work until 8:30 p.m. and may start or continue working Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. All masterpieces must be completed by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in order for judging to begin.<\/p>\n

Limited space is available, so the sooner you apply, the better!
