The Woodburn Community Association and the City of Woodburn would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in what we believe will be the most exciting parade we\u2019ve done in years!\u00a0 We hope you will take the opportunity to participate in this event and join with us as we celebrate the city we call home. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.\u00a0 Line up time is at 9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n
The 2018 parade theme is \u201cWet & Wild\u201d, spotlighting one of the purposes of the festival, which is to raise money for a community splash pad in the park. You are cordially invited to participate in our parade and show off your entry to a large crowd on this special occasion. We know you\u2019ll have a blast as you create wonderful, imaginative entries & floats based on the \u201cWet & Wild\u201d theme!<\/p>\n
Judging will be based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n
Floats:<\/p>\n
Workmanship – A. Originality 10 points max; B. Quality of Work 10 points max<\/p>\n
Design – A. Originality 10 points max; B. Durability 10 points max; C. Animation 10 points max<\/p>\n
General Effect – 10 points max<\/p>\n
Identifiable Theme (Is the theme of the parade displayed and presented well?)- 30 points max<\/p>\n
Costumes and Casting – 10 points max<\/p>\n
Total Possible Points – 100 points<\/p>\n
Marching Units:<\/p>\n
Overall Appearance – 10 points max;<\/p>\n
Uniformity – 10 points max<\/p>\n
Costumes – 10 points max<\/p>\n
Total Possible Points – 30 points<\/p>\n
Prizes will be awarded in both categories:\u00a0 1st $100, 2nd $50 & 3rd $25<\/p>\n
