The WMEA Program Manager, Becky Suvar, provided an opportunity to the Junction community to take a recycling survey on Saturday, March 10th. After reviewing the results, residents were willing to bring their recycling to the same location, the old St Marys Catholic church, but on a different day and a different time slot.<\/p>\n
The recycling truck and trailer will arrive in Junction on the second Wednesday of each month from 12:30 \u2013 1:00 p.m. The WMEA program will accept the regular recycling items:<\/p>\n
Glass \u2013 rinsed, lids off \u2013 sorted white from all other colors<\/p>\n
Steel cans \u2013 rinsed<\/p>\n
Plastics – # 1 and # 2 ( numbers found on bottom of container in a triangle).\u00a0 All other plastics are not accepted<\/p>\n
Newspapers \u2013 in boxes, bundled or in plastic bags<\/p>\n
Magazines \u2013 sorted from newspapers<\/p>\n
Mixed paper\/shred \u2013 bagged<\/p>\n
Junk mail \u2013 sorted from all other paper products and bagged<\/p>\n
Cardboard \u2013 broken down \u2013 no pizza boxes due to food contamination<\/p>\n
Aluminum cans \u2013 rinsed<\/p>\n
This recycling opportunity will continue unless the site is abused as it was in Oakwood.\u00a0 Do NOT leave recycling on ground before or after the designated time.<\/p>\n
