Harlan United Methodist Church and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are partnering again this year to offer Vacation Bible School (VBS) during spring break for children preschool thru 6th grade! The Spring Break VBS will be held at the Harlan United Methodist Church (16434 St. Rd 37, Harlan), April 2, 3 and 4 from noon to 2:30pm each day. This year\u2019s theme is \u201cJesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever\u201d (Hebrews 13:8); several activities fill the day.\u00a0 The fun starts with Registration at 12:00pm immediately followed by some wiggle (game) time! A healthy kid friendly Lunch will be provided shortly after game time. Music\/Singing, Bible story, craft, and mission time complete each day. In mission time, students will make a daily mission project: Monday, pet toys will be made for the Allen County SPCA; Tuesday, lap throws and wraps will be made for our local Nursing Homes; and Wednesday, braided bracelets will be made for cancer, mental health, and children that are patients at Parkview Hospital.\u00a0 Also on Wednesday morning, as a special extension of our mission minded VBS, we are inviting adults and children to participate in the opportunity to sort food at the Associated Churches in downtown Ft. Wayne. We will have vans available and others are welcome to carpool to Associated Churches, leaving at 9:00 a.m. from the HUMC parking lot, returning by 11:30 a.m. Even if you cannot make this special volunteer opportunity Wednesday morning, we will still love to see you at noon for VBS!
