McLaren<\/strong>, 73, of Antwerp,\u00a0 passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Laurels of Defiance.<\/p>\n<p>Bob was born in Carleton, MI on April 23, 1944 a son of the late William &amp; Maryanne (Kingham) McLaren.<\/p>\n<p>Bob attended the Rock Church in Oakwood &amp; worked at General Motors in Defiance but was a family man, motor cycle enthusiast and fisherman at heart.<\/p>\n<p>He will be sadly missed by his wife, Laura (LaPan) whom he married Aug 8, 1964; children, Pamela (Charles) Smith of Antwerp; Ernest &#8220;Fred&#8221; (Ann) of Grand Rapids, Duane (Teresa) of Warne, NC &amp; Benjamin (Beverley) of Defiance; siblings, Laurel Hales, Florence Lee, John all of Saginaw, MI &amp; Raymond of Minnesota; grandchildren, Lisa Smith, Anthony, Amanda, Angel, Joe &amp; Laura &amp; great grandchildren, Logan Friesner, Anthony, Reina &amp; Elena Kleman, Lexie &amp; Karlee.<\/p>\n<p>Bob was also preceded in death by his siblings, Eva, Jerry &amp; Dale.<\/p>\n<p>His funeral service is 11 AM on Saturday, March 10th at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, with viewing one hour prior.<\/p>\n<p>Viewing is also Friday, 4 &#8211; 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home.<\/p>\n<p>Fond memories may be shared at www.dooleyfunerlhome.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Robert A.
