Hicksville, Ohio <\/b><\/p>\n
Janice J. Rex<\/b>, 79, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.<\/p>\n
Jan was born on December 25, 1938 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Wendall and Bessie (Wilson) Jump.<\/p>\n
She was a graduate of Antwerp High School, Antwerp, Ohio. She furthered her education and became a nurse.<\/p>\n
On September 17, 1955, she was united in marriage to Louis Rex and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2005.<\/p>\n
Jan worked as a nurse at Community Memorial Hospital, retiring after 40 years.<\/p>\n
She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Hicksville.<\/p>\n
Jan was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, and the Firemans Auxiliary. She was a seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, knitting and loved to travel with Louis.<\/p>\n
Jan is survived by her daughter, Kristi (Michael) Bowersock of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Ashlie Hanson of Columbus, Ellissa (Garrett) Helf of Edgerton, Ohio, Chase (Lexi) Rodocker; a great-grandson, Javan, and a brother, Larry (Sue) Jump of Antwerp.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana.<\/p>\n
Funeral services for Jan will be Saturday at 11:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, with Pastor Jack Teeple officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Burial will be at Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville.<\/p>\n
Memorials may be made to Hicksville Volunteer Fireman\u2019s Association Auxiliary or CMH Auxilary.<\/p>\n
