The Antwerp Local School physical education department recently received donations of about $1,000 worth of disc golf merchandise. The Fort Wayne Disc Golf Club donated two portable baskets, and players from around the Fort Wayne area donated over 100 discs. Disc golf is the fastest growing sport in the world. Participants throw a plastic disc into a series of metal baskets; the object of the game is to complete the course using the fewest possible throws. Physical Education Teacher Mr. Josh Hoeppner\u2019s ultimate goal is to create a 9 hole course on school grounds for student and community use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
