The Woodlan FFA chapter presented the \u201cBullying Hurts\u201d program to the Woodlan Elementary third and fourth grade classes during the months of November and December. The 28 FFA members split the elementary into groups to effectively teach the 153 elementary students about bullying prevention.<\/p>\n

The six bullying sessions targeted what bullying is and how to identify bullying. Using interactive teaching methods, the Woodlan FFA members taught the students how to react if you are a victim to bullying, who can help, how it may make you feel, that violence is never the answer, and you should never be a bystander.\u00a0 The Bullying Hurts program administered, through the Woodlan FFA members, is helping to address and to resolve any potential problems with the important issue of bullying.<\/p>\n

The program concluded with every student signing an individual Bullying Hurts pledge card not to bully and to help those who are bullied. The Woodlan FFA is truly living to serve as they continue to host and participate in events that serve the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
