Her passion as the mother of two teenagers is promoting the education, safety and overall wellbeing of our children.\u00a0The future success of this country is being molded by our educators.\u00a0 Antwerp Local Schools has an outstanding staff that strives each day to develop their students into successful and productive citizens.\u00a0As a 1996 graduate of Antwerp, and after serving several years on the PTO board, as well as assisting the Antwerp staff in various ways as a volunteer, she has seen first-hand the dedication it takes to make this school system great.\u00a0\u201cWe are fortunate to have outstanding leadership with our current superintendent and treasurer I would be honored to receive your vote of confidence to help guide them make decisions for the best interest of the children of this school and the employees that make it what it is.\u201d stated Landers<\/p>\n

Top goals and how you expect to achieve them:<\/p>\n

1. Fiscal responsibility\u2014again, we have a solid superintendent and treasurer.\u00a0 However, I feel I can use my 16 years experience working with a large budget to have a voice when it comes to the proper use of taxpayer dollars.\u00a0It is not always easy to make tough decisions, and not every decision is the popular one, but I possess the ability to express my vote on behalf of the taxpayers in a proper, fiscally responsible manner for the best interest of the school.<\/p>\n

2. Safety and wellbeing of the students and staff—I believe the school building should be the safest place to be.\u00a0I support the changes Antwerp School has made to ensure the safety of our students, staff and visitors.\u00a0 I will be engaged as a board member and stay apprised of what our administration needs to continue its path of implementing practices, and training on those practices, so we remain a safe learning environment.<\/p>\n

3. One Voice— I am a social butterfly.\u00a0I enjoy talking to people while attending school events, athletic events or social events.\u00a0I want people to tell me what they are thinking about issues regarding the school.\u00a0I can then take that information and make a sound decision for the district.\u00a0I will use my \u201cone voice\u201d to speak for the residents of this district with pride, honesty and integrity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
