Woodlan led 19-0 at halftime and cruised from there to a 47-6 win over Jay County in high school football action Friday night in Allen County.<\/p>\n

The Warriors led 6-0 after one quarter and extended the lead to 19-0 at the break. Woodlawn pushed the margin to 33-6 at the end of three periods before recording the 47-6 victory.<\/p>\n

Woodlan posted 20 first downs in the contest compared to Jay County\u2019s eight and the Warriors totaled 470 yards of total offense compared to the Patriots\u2019 157.<\/p>\n

Justin Durkes completed 17 of 21 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Warrior offense.<\/p>\n

Jack Rhoades ran for 151 yards on 17 carries to top the Warrior rushing attack, including one touchdown run.<\/p>\n

Donald Guerrant was the top receiver for the Warriors with nine receptions for 173 yards while Ahlan Howard totaled four receptions for 83 yards.<\/p>\n

Seb Speeth paced the Woodlan defense with a dozen tackles while Rhoades, Guerrant and Isaac Meyer all had eight stops.<\/p>\n

Woodlan makes the long trip on Saturday as the Warriors travel to Lima Stadium to take on Lima Central Catholic. The Thunderbirds come into the game at 4-1 on the season and have outscored their opponents<\/p>\n

Archers Mark Victory Checkbox<\/p>\n

The Lady Archers took on Holgate Tuesday, September 19 at home for a Green Meadows Conference volleyball match. The first two sets were incredibly close, both going into overtime (must win by 2 points). Antwerp over Holgate: 26-24, 27-25, 25-19 in three sets.\u00a0Records \u2013 Antwerp (12-1 overall, 3-0 GMC); Holgate (5-6 overall, 0-3 GMC).<\/p>\n

Mustangs Take Volleyball Match<\/p>\n

The Lady Panthers travelled to Allen East for Volleyball on Thursday, September 21. The Lady Mustangs won a 5 set match over Paulding: 19-25, 25-20, 25-17, 24-26, 15-13 in a very close victory for teams that were pretty much equal.<\/p>\n

Paulding is now 5-6 overall and 1-2 in the Northwest Conference.<\/p>\n
