The physical and mental toll of concussions will be discussed at Lifetree Caf\u00e9 on Thursday, August 31 from 7 :00 – 8:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
The program, titled \u201cConcussions: A Former NFL Player Speaks Out,\u201d features a filmed interview with former NFL tight end Ben Utecht, who suffered five confirmed concussions during his career.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy concussions, as they continued to happen, had a greater and greater impact on my personality,\u201d Utecht explains. \u201cLoss of short- and long-term memory is an issue I deal with, and I\u2019m only in my 30s.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the program, participants will have the opportunity to share ideas for reducing the risk of concussions in sports at all levels.<\/p>\n
