It was a beautiful day for the Antwerp Day in the Park for 2017. It was nice to see the crowds along the street and the parade this year was exceptionally long. This year the Gems of the Year were Tim and Brenda Copsey. It was nice to see them with all the work they do for the community with the MAC gym and other events.<\/p>\n

There were vendors all over in the designated areas and organizations such as the Rotary Club who raffled off a brand new kayak while raising funds through ticket sales for the park. The United Way was also there with director Taryn Stiltner promoting the organization.<\/p>\n

At the same time Memories by Tawnya was at the site with her very nice booth and Tawnya English was also hosting the Cutie Pie Contest (Winner will be in next issue).<\/p>\n

There was food all over from various vendors and organizations, such as boy scouts and the school band, who had tremendous sales with all of the crowds.<\/p>\n

Face painting, kids events, the Antwerp Community Band, and a whole lot more made the day just fantastic! The Chamber of Antwerp did a great job, putting on this fun community event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
