Furthering the Library\u2019s mission to provide resources to serve the informational, educational, and recreational needs of the public, the library is introducing their Hotspot lending program to make information \u2013 and more specifically the Internet \u2013 accessible to everyone. Patrons may borrow the device to access the Internet for free at home, in the car, or anywhere else they receive a cellular signal.<\/p>\n

A hotspot, or more exactly a mobile hotspot, is a small portable device about the size of a deck of cards that provides wireless Internet access, through a cellular signal, to your personal wireless enabled electronic device (a smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc.). \u201cWe are very pleased to extend our delivery of information through the acquisition of these Mobile Hotspots,\u201d shared Susan Pieper, Library Director. \u201cThese Hotspots will be great for families on vacation, student bus trips out-of-state and even family home use for those households who do not have Internet access at home. All you need to get the Hotpots to work is a cellular phone signal. Up to fifteen devices can be logged in to one Mobile Hotspot.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
