Summerfest took off for 2017 at Woodburn on Friday and Saturday, June 23 & 24. The annual event works hard to bring people from in and out of the community together for a day of fun and frolic activities at the Woodburn Community Park. The first night was trivia and the beer tent.<\/p>\n

Then on Saturday morning the Lions Club was out selling their famous donuts bright and early. The parade started with local businesses and organizations handing out candy along with the famous Woodburn Fire Department and the fabulous Woodlan Marching Band. After the parade numerous organizations were setup in the park building and the Woodburn Christian Children\u2019s Home was selling snow cones as the fundraiser. Feders and other food vendors were setup along the road. The Historical Society had a great event with people bringing in their historical artifacts and showing them off to each other at the Woodburn Community Center. They had old Woodburn Booster Newspapers there with very interesting history of the city.<\/p>\n

Two Bands played this year – The Joel Young Band – and Plan B both rocked the stage inside the main tent.<\/p>\n

It was another great year for the Summerfest at Woodburn!<\/p>\n
