Volunteer opportunities include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In-home patient companion \u2013 receive free training to prepare you to work directly with hospice patients and families visiting with patients, providing companionship and conversation to them and allowing their caregivers the opportunity to run errands or simply rest while you are with their loved one.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Special events volunteers \u2013 help with events periodically throughout the year held to support hospice patient care. Duties may include making phone calls, gathering donated items, and assisting at community events.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Administrative volunteers \u2013 help with office tasks like filing, answering phones and general office duties.<\/p>\n<p>Hours are flexible; volunteers can decide how much or little time they wish to commit.
