St. 66 and St. 613 were both closed for a\u00a0period of time due to the high water. A number of country and township\u00a0roads were or remain closed in and around these communities. There were<br \/>\nbusinesses and residential homes impacted by the high water. Basements and\u00a0some first floors had water in them. The Oakwood Volunteer Fire Department\u00a0request assistance from neighboring fire departments to help fill sandbags\u00a0and place them around homes in Oakwood. Over 60 residence and firefighters\u00a0helped in the effort. The Red Cross will be in the Village of Oakwood this\u00a0morning to assist families and businesses with clean up kits and any other\u00a0help that they can provide. The will be located at the Oakwood Elementary\u00a0School at 12:00 noon today. This is the third time in 10 days that\u00a0Paulding County has had Mother Nature create weather issues to communities\u00a0within Paulding County. On May 18th, three separate storms with straight\u00a0lines winds caused damage to structures and damage 100 power poles that\u00a0caused power outages in three communities for three days.
