The tournament is part of an effort by area high schools to make school more interesting and perhaps competitive for students, encouraging them to do better in their academic and athletic lives.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17703\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17703\" style=\"width: 398px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-17703\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/PHS-Dominion-Cup.jpg?resize=398%2C240\" alt=\"\" width=\"398\" height=\"240\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17703\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pictured is Paulding students lifting their newly acquired Dominion Cup after it was announced of their win.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Some of the games involved in the competition on Tuesday involved academic skills, creativity and athleticism, including games like Jenga, tic-tac-toe, \u201cGuess Who\u201d and dodgeball. The games began at 9:00 a.m. and lasted till 1:30 p.m. when Hicksville had to leave. By the end of the day, Hicksville and Paulding were tied with a score of 150-150. For the tie-breaking game, one student from each school was selected to compete against the other in an ultimate game of rock-paper-scissors.
