The Antwerp School parking lot was flooded with the entries blocked!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

On the evening of Wednesday, April 5 the heavens opened the flood gates and the rains poured down. With light flashing across the sky followed by the booms of thunder, the evening was filled with excitement. For those who have basements, the thrill was probably a little different and they probably cost a lot of sleep. Waking up Thursday morning, and the fields were completely saturated throughout the area of northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana. The high school games were cancelled due to the 2-4 inches of condensation falling all night long. Near the Antwerp School, the canal was filled just like in days gone by and it looked as it could be reused once again. The Antwerp School had a third of the parking under water and the new native gardens were soaked. The tiling helped move the surface water to the ditches, creeks and rivers quite quickly.
