Cottrell<\/b>, 85, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>He was born on December 15, 1927 in Paulding County, Ohio, the son of Lloyd and Madeline (Derck) Cottrell. He was a 1946 graduate of Antwerp High School.<\/p>\n<p>Richard served his country in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict.<\/p>\n<p>He was a Maintenance Engineer at the VA Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p>He was a life member of the Antwerp VFW and the American Legion.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving Richard are one son-David Cottrell of Antwerp, Ohio; three daughters-Barbara Sziklay of New Albany, Indiana, S. Renee Cottrell of Hicksville, Ohio, Lisa Cottrell of Stafford, Virginia; two grandchildren; two sisters-Carol Huss of Antwerp, Ohio and Dorothy Diederich of Garrett, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers- Bill, Tom and Jay.<\/p>\n<p>Per Richards\u2019s request, there will be no services.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials in Richards name may be made to Mt.
