\"\"<\/a>GROVER HILL:\u00a0 Darwin W. \u201cHook\u201d McClure<\/strong> age 81 passed away on December 9th, 2016 at Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Florida, surrounded by his loving family.<\/p>\n

He was born on July 9th, 1935 in Paulding County.\u00a0 He is survived by his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Sharon (Hartzog) whom he married on August 7, 1955.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his two children, Robin (Phil) Farris and Terry (Lisa) McClure; grandchildren, Chris (Ashley) Farris, Ryan (Nikki) McClure, Melissa Farris (Brendan Webber, Fiance), Alison (Josiah) Stoller, and Madison McClure; and great grandchildren, Kaylee Hobbs, Keagan, Kasen, Kendrix Farris, Caleb, Drew, Brianna, Emily McClure, and Callen and Maylee Stoller; and sister-in-law, Lenore DeMeo Hartzog.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Elma (Michael) McClure and his brother-in-law, Doyle (Ruthie) Hartzog.<\/p>\n

He was a fourth generation lifetime Paulding County farmer who began his farming career with his father and later enjoyed many years of farming with his son and grandson.\u00a0 He was a former co-owner of Grover Hill Grain Company.\u00a0 He was also past president and director of Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative.<\/p>\n

He was a lifetime member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School for many years, while holding other positions within the church.\u00a0 While wintering in Florida, he attended West Bradenton Baptist Church, and the PathFinders Sunday School Class.<\/p>\n

His service will be 11 AM Friday, December 16, 2016 at Middle Creek United Methodist Church, Grover Hill, Ohio with Pastor Eileen Kochensparger officiating.\u00a0 Burial will follow in Middle Creek Cemetery.<\/p>\n

Visitation will be from 2 \u2013 8 PM Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, Ohio.\u00a0 There will also be visitation from 10 AM until time of services at the church on Friday.<\/p>\n

Memorial contributions may be made to Hook\u2019s Fund for Young Farmers c\/o Paulding County Area Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
