Three seats are up for re-election within Paulding Putnam Electric Co-op (PPEC)\u2019s territory. The upcoming election will be for districts 1, 6, and 9.<\/p>\n<p>District 1 includes members who reside in Allen and Adams counties in Indiana and in the following townships: Marion, Madison, Monroe, Preble and Union. This position is held by Gerald Sorg, but he will be retiring.<\/p>\n<p>District 6 includes members living in Paulding County \u2014 Auglaize, Brown, Latty and Washington townships \u2014 as well as those living in Defiance County \u2014 Defiance and Highland townships. This position is held by incumbent Chairman of the board Dr. John Saxton.<\/p>\n<p>District 9 includes members living in Putnam County \u2014 Pleasant, Union, Ottawa and Riley township. The position is held by incumbent Secretary \/Treasurer Gary Hayden.<\/p>\n<p>Each trustee serves a three-year term. The PPEC board of trustees consists of nine co-op members who each represent one district within the territory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe trustees have a great deal of responsibilities and that is why it is important to have highly qualified individuals run for the board. The trustees are responsible for establishing, reviewing, and revising corporate policies and identifying strategic initiatives to ensure that service to the PPEC membership remains foremost in mind,\u201d stated Pres. and CEO George Carter.<\/p>\n<p>If interested in running, you must be a member of PPEC and you must complete a petition form. Petition forms can be picked up at PPEC\u2019s office located at 401 McDonald Pike, Paulding, Ohio beginning November 18th.\u00a0 Petition forms can also be downloaded via online at www.PPEC.coop. The official ballots will be mailed to members in districts 1, 6, and 9 in February.
