{"id":15227,"date":"2016-08-31T10:59:12","date_gmt":"2016-08-31T14:59:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/?p=15227"},"modified":"2016-08-31T10:59:12","modified_gmt":"2016-08-31T14:59:12","slug":"state-patrol-three-injured-in-crash-involving-stolen-vehicle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/state-patrol-three-injured-in-crash-involving-stolen-vehicle\/","title":{"rendered":"State Patrol: Three Injured in Crash Involving Stolen Vehicle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-7871\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/medical2-300x190.jpg?resize=300%2C190\" alt=\"medical emergency police\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" \/>Van Wert \u2013 The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle injury crash involving a stolen car that occurred on Tuesday at 12:13 a.m. on US 30 at US 224.<\/p>\n<p>A trooper with the Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on US 30 at a high rate of speed. After checking the vehicle\u2019s speed at 110 MPH, the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to stop and after a brief pursuit crashed while attempting to exit from US 30 at US 224 west.<\/p>\n<p>After crashing, the three suspects in the vehicle attempted to flee the scene. All three were quickly apprehended after the successful deployment of a law enforcement K-9.<\/p>\n<p>The three suspects were identified as: Christopher T. Ellis Jr., age 20, Rodrick J. Powers, age 17, and Datarrion D. Hill, age 17. All three suspects are from Fort Wayne, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p>All three suspects sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash and were transported by EMS to the Van Wert County Hospital for treatment.
