It has come at a high cost though &#8211; lives of many people you and I know have been taken through the years because of this highway. No, I don&#8217;t think the highway itself is the cause, but if there is a way change it to make it safer shouldn&#8217;t we?<\/p>\n<p>The stretch of land around CR 87 near Cecil, OH has been known as Dead Man&#8217;s Curve for years, long before the four lane road was constructed. The new highway was to make it safer for motorists. I don&#8217;t believe it has. US highways such as US 30 and US 24 are notorious for fatalities at the roads that cross with no on\/off ramps such as on Interstates such as 69 or 75.<\/p>\n<p>The situation reminds me of the song by Bob Dylan: &#8216;Blowin in the Wind&#8217; How long will take until we realize It&#8217;s time for a change?<\/p>\n<p>As long as these intersections exist I recommend people take another route. Perhaps taking roads where bridges have been built over the 4 lanes instead of trying navigate across 70 MPH traffic traveling in opposite directions.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s going to take interaction and working with officials who can make a difference.<\/p>\n<p><em>What solutions do you propose?<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In two and half weeks there have been two fatalities at the intersection of US 24 and CR 87.
