Essex<\/b>, 76, formerly of Hicksville, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at VanCrest of Payne Assisted Living.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Born in Kosciusko County, Indiana, Nancy was the daughter of the late Harold and Annabelle (Minnear) Ferverda.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">She was a 1958 graduate of Southside High School, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Nancy was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Hicksville, the Red Hat Club and the Lady Bug Club. She was a swim instructor for little kids.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Nancy is survived by her family; Bud Essex, Bruce Essex and Lori (Joe) Sarnes; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Ferverda.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Funeral services for Nancy will be Monday at 11:00 at St. John Lutheran Church, Hicksville with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation will also be Sunday from 2-6 at Smith &amp; Brown Funeral Home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Memorials may be made to the Multiple Schlerosis Foundation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Online condolences may be shared at <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithbrownfuneralhome.com\/\">www.smithbrownfuneralhome.com<\/a><\/u><\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Payne, Ohio Nancy A.
