Twenty-one students completing Northwest State Community College\u2019s medical assisting associate degree and\/or phlebotomy technician certificate program were recognized in a special ceremony held for the graduates on May 2, 2016. Both options lead to entry-level positions in the health care field, and students earning the phlebotomy technician certificate may choose to continue their education for an associate degree in medical assisting.<\/p>\n

Janet Koepplinger, Allied Health Department Chair at NSCC, honored the family members of students \u201cwho sacrificed along with the students to help them get to this point.\u201d She noted, \u201cSuccess doesn\u2019t happen unless you want it to,\u201d and applauded students\u2019 personal strength, courage and commitment.<\/p>\n

Fulton County<\/b> \u2013 Caitlyn Davis*<\/p>\n

Henry County<\/b> \u2013 Bethany Abbott, Angela Keezer<\/p>\n

Lenawee (MI) County<\/b> \u2013 Kari Kendall, Ashley Seitz<\/p>\n

Paulding County<\/b> \u2013 Karena Egnor, Mackenzie Hanenkratt<\/p>\n

Williams County<\/b> \u2013 Amanda Judkins, Angela Rutledge<\/p>\n
