Mason,<\/strong> 56, of Woodurn passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>Mike was born in Fort Wayne on March 15, 1960, the son of the late Barbara Ellen (Malfait) and Carl Wayne Mason.<\/p>\n<p>He was known as &#8220;Mike the Mover&#8221; at Parkview Hospital, where he worked since 1998. Mike loved\u00a0his family &amp; community, serving on the Woodburn Fire Department for 27 years and also had served on the Woodburn\u00a0City Council. Mike loved to hunt &amp; fish, but was equally happy conversing with friends.<\/p>\n<p>He will be sadly missed by his wife, Julie (Atchley), whom he married Aug 3, 1978; daughter, Nicole (Ryan) Jewell and grandsons, Xander &amp; Jaxson all of Harlan.<\/p>\n<p>His funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W.
