Bethel \u00a0Marie Hicks<\/strong>, 73, of Payne passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.<\/p>\nBethel was born in Wilson Creek, Kentucky \u00a0on July 6, 1942 a daughter of the late Zada (Bradley) & Ollie Ratliff.<\/p>\n
She worked at General Electric & Big Lots and had been a Girl Scout Troop Leader. Bethel cared for everyone especially her nieces & nephews, as if they were her immediate family. She had a special passion for animals, but was equally happy fishing and going to auctions.<\/p>\n
On November 23, 1963 she married Lacy Dean Hicks.<\/p>\n
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Lacy Dean; daughters, Deana Marie Hicks & Mary Martha Hicks all of Payne; siblings, Dorothy Ratliff of Paulding, Edna (Ron) Hensley of Fort Wayne & Harlan (Laura) Ratliff of Oakwood; brother-in-law, Roger Haiflich of Fort Wayne and her grand dogs and grand cats.<\/p>\n
Also preceding her in death was her sister, Judy Haiflich.<\/p>\n
Viewing is Sunday, 2 to 6 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.<\/p>\n
Her funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne \u00a0at 11 am on Monday, January 25th.<\/p>\n
She will be lad to rest at Lehman Cemetery.<\/p>\n
