{"id":10660,"date":"2015-03-22T12:59:26","date_gmt":"2015-03-22T16:59:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/?p=10660"},"modified":"2015-03-22T12:59:26","modified_gmt":"2015-03-22T16:59:26","slug":"state-patrol-investigating-fatal-crash-in-paulding-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/state-patrol-investigating-fatal-crash-in-paulding-county\/","title":{"rendered":"State Patrol Investigating Fatal Crash in Paulding County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/sheriff-police-badge.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1376\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/sheriff-police-badge-300x277.jpg?resize=300%2C277\" alt=\"sheriff police badge\" width=\"300\" height=\"277\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/sheriff-police-badge.jpg?resize=300%2C277&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/sheriff-police-badge.jpg?w=666&amp;ssl=1 666w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Harrison Township \u2013 The Ohio State Highway Patrol\u2019s Van Wert Post is investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred at 7:11 AM Saturday morning on State Route 49 north of County Road 94, in Paulding County 1 mile north of Payne.<\/p>\n<p>A 2000 Toyota 4-Runner, driven by Ismael Castillo Cano, age 36, of Convoy was southbound on State Route 49.\u00a0 Mr. Cano crossed the center line and then drove off the left side of the roadway striking a utility pole and a ditch.\u00a0 The Toyota overturned several times prior to coming to rest in the field.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle sustained heavy disabling damage,\u00a0 Mr. Cano was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Parkview North Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead by hospital medical personnel.\u00a0 His vehicle was towed from the scene by R &amp;
