{"id":10030,"date":"2015-01-05T15:27:07","date_gmt":"2015-01-05T20:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/?p=10030"},"modified":"2015-01-14T15:29:13","modified_gmt":"2015-01-14T20:29:13","slug":"paulding-county-commissioners-meeting-minutes-010515","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westbendnews.net\/autonews\/paulding-county-commissioners-meeting-minutes-010515\/","title":{"rendered":"Paulding County Commissioners Meeting Minutes 01\/05\/15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This 5th day of January, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners met in regular session with the following members present:<br \/>\nTony Zartman, Roy Klopfenstein, Mark Holtsberry, and Nola Ginter, Clerk<br \/>\nALLOWANCE OF CLAIMS:<br \/>\nWarrants documented as 213175 through 213195 for County Bills were approved and certified to the County Auditor for payment.<br \/>\nMeeting Notes of Appointments:<br \/>\n\u2022 Jarod Renollet, Deputy Dog Warden \u2013 Mr. Renollet met briefly with the Commissioners and Claudia Fickel, County Auditor, to discuss dog tags. Dog tags will be on sale in the Auditor\u2019s Office through January 31 for the calendar year 2015. Mr. Renollet noted there will be one more notice in the newspaper. He intends on follow-up to those who purchased tags in 2014 and not for 2015 by sending post cards. Mr. Renollet reported handling 309 dogs in 2014. 57 were adopted and 163 were redeemed by their owners. 61 dogs were rescued and only 24 were euthanized. Mr. Renollet emphasized the Paulding County Dog Kennel has a \u2018no suffering\u2019 policy. Most euthanizations were performed due to the dog\u2019s aggressive behavior or its unresolved health\/medical issues. Mr. Renollet requested permission to attend a Humane Agent Training on animal cruelty and the law in London, Ohio, on February 17, 18, and 19. The assistant Dog Warden will oversee the kennel on the days he is gone. Mr. Renollet reported mechanical issues with the S-10. He also noted he is working with the Sheriff\u2019s Office to obtain a taser gun for use on the job.<br \/>\n\u2022 Pam Miller and Jerry Zielke, Paulding County Economic Development \u2013 Ms. Miller presented paperwork for an RLF (paid in full) for the Commissioners\u2019 signatures. Mr. Zielke provided an update on the job\/career expo he would like to sponsor at the Paulding County fair this summer.<br \/>\n\u2022 Corey Walker, Defiance\/Paulding County Consolidated Job and Family Services \u2013 Mr. Walker reported he has the Harrison Street building cleaned out with the exception of two rooms. He noted a variety of office equipment to relocate. Mr. Walker commented the agency is running smoothly, in spite of the hurdles they have jumped this past year.
