The Bluffton Tigers went to Woodlan for the boys basketball game on January 12. The game began with Woodlan getting the ball in the tip off and then scoring the first basket. It was a short lived lead as the Tigers overtook and climbed the point ladder quickly. Nearing the end of the first the home team was able to tighten their defense and driving their offense to the basket. It finished with the guest having a four point lead.<\/p>\n

The second quarter was very similar to the first. While the Warriors with the help of Evan Gustin was able to keep the Tigers from gaining a large lead. Bluffton was able to gain another three points in the second quarter and finished the half at 32-25.<\/p>\n

What would Woodlan do when they are down this much? Play like they\u2019ve never played before and keep the ball out of the hands of their competitors.<\/p>\n

The third period was by far the best for the local boys. Not only where they able to hold off Bluffton but they outscored them by six points and finishing 43-43 and the game was all tied up. The momentum had changed led by Andrew Krahn and Jeffrey Jones.<\/p>\n

Alas it wasn\u2019t to be the resurrection of the Woodlan win. Bluffton returned the scoring favor back and spirit filled the Tigers to outscore their rivals by six points for their highest scoring quarter. The game finished at 65-59. Not bad, but not enough for the game.<\/p>\n

Great game for Evan Gustin and was the top Woodlan scorer for the game.<\/p>\n
