Vantage’s Cup & Saucer open for reservations

VAN WERT — The Cup & Saucer Restaurant at Vantage Career Center, located at 818 N. Franklin Street in Van Wert, is once again open to the public for the 2025-2026 season. Operating Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by reservation only, the restaurant offers guests a one-of-a-kind dining experience prepared and served by Vantage’s junior and senior Culinary Arts students.
To kick off November, the Cup & Saucer will feature an Italian Wedding Singer-inspired buffet on Wednesday, November 12th, and Thursday, November 13th, showcasing classic Italian dishes crafted by the students under the direction of Chef Lucas Trinosky. Following this event, guests can look forward to a rotating menu each week, highlighting a variety of cuisines and student-inspired creations throughout the season.
“These kids are putting out some truly great food and we’re having a blast doing it,” said Chef Lucas Trinosky.
After serving as Executive Chef for the Indianapolis Colts, Chef T returned home to be closer to family and was fortunate to find the perfect opportunity teaching at Vantage Career Center. With more than ten years of teaching experience and a diverse background spanning R&D, hotels, restaurants, and a European bakery in Cincinnati, he brings a depth of industry knowledge to the classroom. His goal is to inspire students through hands-on learning and a genuine love for the culinary arts.
The Cup & Saucer will host a Holiday Lunch on Thursday, December 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The buffet will feature a delicious variety of seasonal favorites, including:
Salad Bar, Smoked Turkey and Gravy, Pineapple Glazed Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Cornbread Dressing, Buttered Corn, Fresh Baked Warm Bread, Pumpkin Pie and Assorted Desserts
“Our Holiday buffet gives students the chance to showcase both classic techniques and creative flavor combinations, – a true reflection of how food connects tradition, learning, and community.” Added Chef T.
