Ursula M. Riley

PAULDING, OH:

Ursula M. Riley, age 81, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Vancrest of Payne.

Ursula was born on September 22, 1943 in Paulding, OH to the late Graydon and Juanita (Finkhousen) Goble. On September 23, 1961 she married Darwin Riley, who preceded her in death in 2024. Ursula spent her life creating a loving home for her family. She was also a home health aide and volunteered at Paulding County Hospital. She loved bowling and enjoyed her time at the lake. Ursula was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Paulding, where she prepared many funeral dinners, sang in the church choir, and played the piano and organ. 

Ursula will be missed by her sons: Terry (Stacey) Riley, Paulding, OH; Ryan Riley, Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Melinda Riley, Paulding, OH: grandchildren: Jarod Riley, Justin (Courtney) Riley, Dylan Welch, Morgan (Harry) Riley-Todd, Brandon Riley, Leah Riley, Carly Riley; great grandchildren: Cody Riley, Vivienne Riley, and Valerie Riley. 

Ursula was also preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Riley; brother, David Goble; sisters: Carol Jones and Sharon Goble. 

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Den Herder Funeral Home with Pastor Ric Beals officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding Township, OH. 

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ursula’s memory to the Paulding County Dog Shelter or First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
