Trooper Mike Dirr & Wellers Speak to Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was pleased to welcome Trooper Mike Dirr of the Ohio State Highway Patrol as the featured speaker at its regular meeting on Thursday, August 14.

Trooper Dirr, invited by Kiwanis member Jane Gray, shared valuable insights into the current state of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. His presentation focused on practical strategies to help prevent roadway tragedies and promote safety across the community.

The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was pleased to welcome Doug and Bonnie Weller of Weller Country Farms and Auglaize Kayak & Canoe as the featured speakers at its regular meeting on Thursday, August 21.

Invited by Kiwanis member Heather Hunt, the Wellers shared the inspiring story of how their family farm evolved into a thriving recreational business. From its roots as Weller Farms, the business has expanded to include Auglaize Kayak & Canoe, offering outdoor experiences to residents and visitors alike.

This year, the Wellers’ popular corn mazes highlight Willy Wonka and Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative, showcasing a local business and bringing additional community focus to their seasonal attraction.
