TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS REQUIRED

LUKE 12:41-48. EPHESIANS 2:8-13. ACTS 10:34-48 JEREMIAH 29:13

Some people take, take, take. They never give more than they take and call it business savvy. We, as believers, live by “kingdom principles”. The law of sewing and reaping.

**Galatians 6:7-9 (NIV)**

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

**LUKE 12:47-48** – ” And the servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with a few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” God’s will for us is to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, thy soul, and thy mind. And to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to Spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and holy spirit.

**EPHESIANS 2:11-13** – “Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called ‘uncircumcised’ by those who call themselves ‘the circumcision’ (which is done in the body by human hands)—remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”

**ACTS 10:34,38,42,44-48** – “Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right…’  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with him…He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles.” For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.

This vision prepared Peter to understand that God was making a shift in his ministry, which would include welcoming non-Jews (Gentiles) into the Christian faith. The vision was not about food but people, and that we should not consider any person unclean.

I think that it is essential to realize that we were all aliens at one time, but through Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit has been poured out even on us, the Gentiles. So let us have compassion and pray for those who are being rounded up and repatriated.

The matter concludes that Jesus Christ came and died on the cross that we may have citizenship in heaven and reign with him in Glory forever and ever, Amen.

Peace and Love
