Sandra M. “Sandy” Weidenhamer

PAULDING, OH:
Sandra M. “Sandy” Weidenhamer, age 79, of Paulding, OH, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at CHP Inpatient Hospice, Defiance, OH.
She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on March 15, 1946, to her late parents, Paul and Mary Alice (Carlisle) Bowholtz. On June 6, 1964, she married Leslie “Les” Weidenhamer who preceded her in death in 2017.
Sandy worked for 25 years as a teacher’s aide for Paulding Exempted Village Schools, retiring in 2004. She was a member of the former St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Junction, OH and was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish, Paulding, OH as well as a lifetime member of the Paulding County History Museum. For the last several years, Sandy had lived in Lake Alfred, FL.
She is survived by her children: Amy (Tim) Borkosky, Paulding, OH; Bruce (Shellie) Weidenhamer, Cecil, OH; Brad Weidenhamer, Paulding, OH; Alan Weidenhamer, Paulding, OH; grandchildren: Mark Weidenhamer, Dayne (Tarra) Weidenhamer, CeCe (Justin) Holbrooks, Jordan Weidenhamer, Tessa Shirkey, and Gunner Borkosky; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Jase, Mason, Kinsley, Kimber, Royal, Epperley, Gaige, Lumiere, and Javelin.
Sandy was also preceded in death by her son, Bryan Allen in 1968 and her sister, Margaret Fisher.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2025 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, OH with Pastor Mike Harper officiating. Inurnment will take place at Live Oak Cemetery, Paulding, OH at a later date.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, OH. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
Sandy’s family requests no flowers or funeral memorabilia. Please make a memorial contribution in Sandy’s memory to the Paulding County History Museum or to CHP Hospice.
