Rotary Tour for MESA Visits Antwerp Park, Rotary Prepares for “Day in the Park”

On June 17, 2025, the Rotary Tour for MESA (Medical Equipment and Supplies Abroad) made a stop at the Antwerp Riverside Veterans Memorial Park as part of its cycling route across northwest Ohio. Riders were warmly welcomed by local members of the Antwerp Rotary Club and treated to a water and energy snack station for a much-needed break.
The tour began that morning in Defiance, with cyclists continuing through Hicksville and Napoleon before concluding the day’s journey in Bryan. The Rotary Tour for MESA serves as a vital fundraiser for the MESA Foundation, which provides medical equipment and supplies to impoverished areas around the world—bringing lifesaving care and resources to those most in need.
In addition to supporting international outreach through MESA, the Antwerp Rotary Club remains active in the local community and is currently preparing for the annual “Day in the Park” celebration on Saturday, August 9. The event will begin with a parade down Main Street at 10:00 a.m., followed by a day of activities in the park running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This year’s festivities will once again feature food vendors, craft booths, band entertainment, and a variety of other family-friendly attractions. More details will be announced as the date approaches.
The Antwerp Rotary Club is proud to help organize and sponsor this event, which highlights the spirit of community and celebrates the beautiful park space available to residents and visitors alike.
