The event, titled “Pink Out Katie’s Cancer Benefit,” will feature a full day of activities designed to bring the community together while raising funds to assist with medical and recovery expenses.

The day will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a golf outing hosted at Pond-A-River Golf Course. The four-man scramble will include a 50/50 raffle and prizes throughout the event. Additional activities throughout the day include a car cruise-in and a variety of family-friendly events. Doors at the VFW will open at 4:00 p.m., at which time the silent auction will begin accepting bids. From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., kids’ activities and snacks will be available.

Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. and is open to the public. A bake sale will also be available for free-will donations, with dinner service concluding at 7:00 p.m. A live auction featuring larger donated items will take place at 6:00 p.m., followed by the closing of the silent auction at 7:00 p.m. The evening will wrap up with Okie-Dokie Karaoke beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Katie was diagnosed with breast cancer in July of 2025 and has since undergone chemotherapy and surgery. She resides in Antwerp with her husband, Tyler, and their three daughters, Evelyn, Emery, and Ella. Proceeds from the benefit will go toward supporting the family as Katie continues her recovery.
