Philip A. Timbrook

HICKSVILLE, OH:
Philip A. Timbrook, age 94, of Hicksville, died peacefully on May 15, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1930, in Hicksville, OH, to the late Lavon and Dorothy (Driver) Timbrook. On May 4, 1958, in St. Joe, IN, Philip married what would turn out to be his lifelong love, Phyllis Sweet. They just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary earlier this month. Philip also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. He later retired from International Harvester in 1982, after 30 years of dedicated service. Philip enjoyed mechanics, working on cars, gardening, and collecting coins. He even won 1st place at the Mopar Nationals in 1988 for a 1971 Super Bee that he and his son rebuilt. Philip was known to be a hard worker and one who took great pride in his lawn. He loved telling stories about life on the farm to his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children, Cynthia Timbrook and Keith Timbrook and grandson, Cole Railing, and great grandson, Benjamin Oliver Timbrook. Philip leaves behind his beloved wife, Phyllis Timbrook; children, Mark Timbrook and Rhonda (Keith) Railing; sister, Rowena Bowers; grandchildren, Spencer (Dannie) Timbrook, Krystal (Brandon) Hawn, Shelby (Brittney) Timbrook, and Connor and Chase Railing; daughter-in-law, Crystal Timbrook; great grandchildren, Kaden and Nicholas Hawn and Tessa Timbrook. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 10:00AM – 12:00PM at Hicksville Cornerstone Church, 232 W Arthur St, Hicksville, OH 43526. A funeral service will follow at the church at 12:00PM with Pastor Jack Teeple officiating. Burial will be at Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville, OH. The family requests that instead of sending flowers, you consider making a memorial contribution to the church’s building fund, in honor of Philip.
