Memories & Reflections on Our Church

I hope this message finds you well. I’ve been reflecting on our time at the House of Love Ministries, especially in light of the recent changes.
It’s hard to express how deeply saddened I am about the church being torn down at 220 N. Williams St. Standing before the rubble brought back a flood of memories- memories of calling, faith, and the incredible journey we shared.
I remember when God first called me into the ministry within those walls, showing me visions of healing and transformation. It felt surreal when we stepped into that building, which aligned so closely with what I had envisioned. Those times spent praying, seeking God’s guidance, and trusting in His provision were truly formative.

I know you remember how we all worked together to serve the community— the lives we touched, the 287 baptisms we celebrated, and the countless moments of grace that flowed through our ministry. The faces of our family, friends, and townspeople who became our unwavering support still resonate in my heart.
As we move forward, let’s remember that this physical space was never the true church. As Hebrews 9:11 reminds us, it is about the “greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with human hands.” Our labor, our love, and our desire to serve should always reflect that eternal truth.

I am grateful for your partnership and faithfulness in this journey. May God bless you abundantly as we continue to pursue His calling in our lives.
Peace and love,
— Pastor Dwayne
