Maxine Keegan
CECIL, OH:
Maxine Keegan of Cecil, OH passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family. On October 19, 2025 at the age of 83. Maxine was born on January 23, 1942, at 5 o’clock in the morning to Edward and Francis (Crawley) Mendleson.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth E. Keegan of Cecil Ohio. They married on November 19th, 1958. She is also survived by her children: Penny (Butch) Overmyer, Tony (Lisa) Keegan, both of Cecil OH. Kimberly Wright of Mechanicsburg, OH, Denise (Timothy) Sprow of Sherwood, OH. Grandchildren: Ben (Tara) Wright, Jonathan Overmyer, Daniell Wright, Lucas Keegan, Brittany (Jason) Schilt, Zane Sprow. Great-grandchildren: Kaden (Alexiss) Hickman, Kylie Greathouse, Marinah Chon, Benjamin Overmyer, Lane Sprow, and Libby Sprow. Great-great-grandchildren: Theodore and Brooklyn Hickman.
She is proceeded in death by her grandchildren: Kelly Greathouse and Mattloc Overmyer, and son-in-law Rick Wright .
Maxine enjoyed everything in life. Over the years, she worked for 18-Wheeler, Vagabond Restaurant, Weatherhead, and C&H Dry Cleaners. She volunteered at the VA Hospital and the Food Pantry at her church. She loved to cook especially big dinners for her big family. She loved to travel and camp. Most of all she loved her family. Maxine was a woman of great faith, she was a devoted member of Sherwood Methodist Church, and worked for their food drives.
Celebration of Life will be held on November 8, 2025. It will be held at the Sherwood VFW at 1:00 p.m.
