On July 24, 2025, the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation (MHJF) celebrated excellence in public education at its annual Educators Awards Banquet at the Cleveland Marriott East. The event honored outstanding teachers, school leaders and Fund for Teachers fellows who are shaping the future of learning across Ohio.

Dr. Renée T. Willis, MHJF executive director, welcomed guests to the celebration, stating, “At the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, we believe that education is the cornerstone of a thriving society. In these challenging times, we remain steadfast in our commitment to Ohio’s educators and public schools.”

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2025 Educators of the Year Awards, which included a $7,500 grant for each honoree to support innovative classroom or district initiatives, and a $10,000 grant for the Superintendent of the Year.  Award recipients of note include Dr. Martin Miller (Superintendent of Antwerp Local Schools) who received the 2025 Ohio Superintendent Award of Excellence.
