Local Communities Celebrate Independence Day with Fireworks Displays Across the Region

As the United States prepares to celebrate its 249th birthday, communities across Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana are lighting up the skies with patriotic fireworks displays. From small towns to larger cities, local organizers have announced a full schedule of fireworks events to commemorate Independence Day in 2025.

Festivities will begin the weekend before the Fourth of July with displays on Saturday, June 28 in Bryan and Holgate, Ohio. These early celebrations offer families a chance to get into the patriotic spirit ahead of the holiday week.

A larger slate of shows is scheduled for Thursday, July 3, including displays in Defiance, Wauseon, Bowling Green, and Maumee/Perrysburg, Ohio. With several locations hosting events on the same evening, area residents will have plenty of choices to enjoy fireworks close to home.

The heart of the holiday, Friday, July 4, will feature shows in Van Wert and Napoleon, Ohio, as well as larger displays in Downtown Toledo, Downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Angola, Indiana. These Independence Day events are expected to draw large crowds and serve as the centerpiece for local Fourth of July celebrations.

The fireworks festivities will continue into the weekend with a display in Grand Rapids, Ohio, on Saturday, July 5.

Capping off the regional celebration, Paulding, Ohio, will host the John Paulding Summer Blast on Saturday, July 11. This family-friendly event will feature fireworks as part of a broader community celebration sponsored by the CoRP.

With a wide array of locations and dates, families across the region will have numerous opportunities to honor America’s independence with dazzling firework displays, local pride, and community togetherness.
