Klopfenstein To Serve Second Term

Roy W Klopfenstein has been re-elected to serve a second term as State Representative for the 82nd Ohio House District which consists of Putnam, Van Wert, Paulding, and part of Defiance Counties.
During his first term, Klopfenstein served as vice chairman of the Agriculture Committee along with positions on the State and Local Government, Transportation and Infrastructure Committees. “In my second term, I will continue to work on legislation that keeps agriculture strong and vibrant as Ohio’s number one industry. Promoting agriculture and encouraging the next generation of farmers is what prompted my joint sponsorship of the Agriculture Appreciation Act which passed unanimously with bipartisanship support out of the House of Representatives”
Klopfenstein’s experience in local government gives him the insight needed to work on bills that make local government more effective and efficient. His efforts on Force Account legislation to help County Engineers was one of the first things he worked on correcting when he arrived in Columbus two years ago. This gave County Engineers more flexibility and options to manage tax dollars when bidding and managing road and bridge projects.
Klopfenstein has also been working to ensure tax dollars are used in effective and efficient manners to continue to promote current businesses while being attractive to any company to start or relocate to Ohio. “Good jobs for working families will continue to help strong and vibrant communities”, he stated.
“I deeply appreciate all the support I have received in this re-election campaign, and I will continue to work to preserve and protect the values that make the 82nd district the best place to live, work and raise a family.”
