Robert Frake

OAKWOOD – Area residents are invited to take part in a series of Community Lenten Services titled “Journey to the Cross,” to be held at Auglaize Chapel Church in Oakwood throughout the Lenten season.

Tyson Nofzinger

The services will take place on three Thursday evenings—March 12, March 19, and March 26—beginning at 7:00 p.m. each night at Auglaize Chapel Church, located at 22652 Road 60 in Oakwood.

Each week will feature a different guest speaker. Rev. Robert Frake of Defiance will open the series on March 12. On March 19, Pastor Tyson Nofzinger, also of Defiance, will deliver the message. The final service on March 26 will feature Rev. Sandy Hauenstein of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The theme for this year’s services is “Jesus is the Subject,” encouraging attendees to reflect on the meaning of Christ’s journey to the cross during the Lenten season.

Organizers note that the services are designed as a community gathering for worship and reflection leading up to Easter. Everyone is welcome to attend.

For more information, interested individuals may contact Auglaize Chapel Church.
