Fairview Softball Awarded $10,000 Grant for New Press Box Project

Central Local Schools and the Fairview Softball program received a major boost this spring with the announcement of a $10,000 grant from the Defiance Area Foundation. The funds, awarded during the 2025 spring grant cycle, will support the construction of a new press box at the girls’ softball field—an effort that has been in progress through local fundraising initiatives.

The grant was made possible by the Hanna Family Memorial Fund, a charitable resource dedicated to supporting community improvements and youth development. A current rendering of the future press box shows an exciting step forward for the program, promising enhanced amenities for players, media, and fans alike.
