Fairview FFA Officer Training

The Fairview FFA Chapter officers recently traveled to Bowling Green, Ohio, for a three-day leadership and service training trip, packed with impactful and meaningful experiences.
Their first stop was H.O.O.V.E.S., a retreat for veterans and first responders designed to improve mental health and overall well-being. The officers assisted with landscaping.
They then volunteered at the Seagate Food Bank, packaging food for families in need. The officers also engaged in discussions on community service opportunities and ways to better serve Defiance County.
The group toured the Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers Association (NWOTPA), learning about event management and leadership in agriculture, followed by a visit to OSTEGROWS, an innovative ag initiative focused on sustainability.
The trip concluded with a meeting led by a United Way of Defiance County representative, who spoke about local needs and youth involvement in service.
The experience provided valuable leadership training and strengthened the officers’ commitment to serving their community through FFA.
In addition to planning a few more community involvement events throughout the 2025-26 school year. Watch for more information on these exciting new events.
