Edgerton Controls Tempo in Road Win Over Antwerp at The Range

Edgerton used balanced scoring and steady defense to earn a 40–23 Green Meadows Conference girls basketball victory over Antwerp High School on Wednesday night, January 15, at The Range.
The Bulldogs set the tone early, taking an 11–4 lead after the first quarter as Antwerp struggled to find its rhythm offensively. Both teams traded baskets in the second quarter, but Edgerton maintained control and carried an 18–11 advantage into halftime.
Coming out of the break, Edgerton delivered its strongest stretch of the night, outscoring the Archers 14–7 in the third quarter to open up a double-digit margin. Antwerp continued to battle defensively, but the Bulldogs limited scoring opportunities in the fourth quarter to close out the conference win.

Katilyn Burke and Alivia Farnham led Edgerton with 13 points apiece, combining inside scoring with perimeter shooting. Elle Huard added seven points, while Ava Swank chipped in five as Edgerton improved to 11–4 overall and 4–0 in GMC play.
Antwerp was led by Aliyah Friend with seven points, followed by Gabi Snyder with six. Clara Rohrs added four points for the Archers, who fell to 5–11 overall and 1–3 in the conference.
Edgerton remained unbeaten in league play with the road victory, while Antwerp will look to regroup as GMC action continues.
