Defiance Softball Association Awarded Grant for Field Improvements

The Defiance Softball Association has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Hanna Family Fund under the Defiance Area Foundation (DAF). The funding will support significant upgrades to Diehl Park, including the installation of improved field lighting and infield resurfacing.

These enhancements aim to create a safer and more enjoyable environment for the more than 300 youth athletes and their families who use the facility each year. Benefits include reduced injury risks, better visibility during evening games, and an overall improved park appearance.

DAF expressed pride in supporting projects that invest in the well-being of the community’s young athletes.
