CTE Students Lead the Way in Innovation and Design at school

Jaxon Cook reverse engineered and designed new handles for two refrigerators in the school.  Both handles on the refrigerators were broken.  Jaxon is holding the final design for the handles.

Have you ever thought about or ever wondered what exciting things take place in the STEAM Center Engineering Classroom?  If you don’t know, below are just a few examples of some of the amazing work the students have accomplished.  If you would like more examples or want to know more stop in and talk with Mr. Stuart about the CTE Engineering Design Class.

Note:  All of the parts were designed in Fusion 360 and manufactured on a Creality 3D printer.

Luke Stouffer reverse engineered a “STOP STICK ASSEMBLY” for Officer Lyons from a damaged assembly.

Luke Stouffer reverse engineered a “SWEEPER PART” from a broken part.

Cole Manz reverse engineered and designed a “GAME PIECE” for Mrs. Sorensen, for use in her classroom.

Selene Fernandez designed a new rolling pin wheel for Mrs. Smithmyer.  The rolling pin wheel design criteria specified was to create a uniform baking dough at a ½” thickness.
