Cecil Council Donates $1000 to The Kitty Hope Foundation

Since its launch just one year ago in January 2025, The Kitty Hope Foundation has successfully facilitated the spaying and neutering of over 400 community cats in Paulding County!
The Foundation’s efforts have been most recently supported by a generous $1000 donation from the Cecil town council.
Why should more communities support this practice? Because Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) is the only method that has been scientifically demonstrated to work at reducing community cat populations over time – killing or moving cats has repeatedly been shown to be ineffective. The neutered cats are also vaccinated so they aren’t contributing to either overpopulation or disease. And as a bonus, the cats returned into their community continue to defend their territory, reducing the tendency for other unfixed, unvaccinated cats to move in.
THANK YOU, Cecil for becoming involved and supporting The Kitty Hope Foundation’s mission!
The Kitty Hope Foundation’s spay/neuter transport program is also open to the public! For the low cost of $55, a community cat will receive sterilization surgery, vaccination, ear tipping, plus a basic veterinary examination.
